Privacy Policy

1. Information Stored Locally

Circuit Dots saves a minimal set of data directly on your device using standard OS storage mechanisms (SharedPreferences on Android, UserDefaults on iOS). This data is completely private and includes:

• Your current level progress, unlocked chapters, and star ratings.
• Daily challenge completion history and streak data.
• Your audio, haptic feedback, and notification preferences (ON/OFF toggles).
• Completed tutorial/onboarding flags.

This information never leaves your device and is never accessible to us or any external servers.

2. Advertising & Third-Party Services

Circuit Dots is a free, ad-supported application. We use Google AdMob to display advertisements within the app. The following ad formats are used:

• Banner Ads: Small, non-intrusive ads displayed at the bottom of certain screens.
• Interstitial Ads: Full-screen ads shown at natural breaks in gameplay (e.g., after completing a set of levels). These are frequency-capped to avoid excessive interruption.
• Rewarded Video Ads: Optional ads that players can choose to watch in exchange for in-game benefits (e.g., unlocking a chapter early or earning extra hints).
• App Open Ads: Ads shown when the app is brought back to the foreground, subject to cooldown periods for a respectful user experience.

New Player Grace Period: To ensure a great first impression, new players will not see any advertisements until they have completed at least 15 levels.

Data Collected by Google AdMob

Google AdMob, as a third-party advertising partner, may automatically collect certain information to serve relevant ads. This may include:

• Device advertising identifier (Google Advertising ID on Android, IDFA on iOS).
• IP address (for approximate location-based ad targeting).
• Device information (model, OS version, screen size).
• Ad interaction data (impressions, clicks).

We do not have access to this data. It is collected and processed by Google in accordance with their privacy policies:

3. Notifications

Circuit Dots may send local push notifications to remind you about the daily challenge puzzle. These notifications are:

• Entirely opt-in: You choose whether to enable or disable them in Settings.
• Processed on-device: Notifications are scheduled locally using your device's built-in notification system. No data is sent to external servers.
• No tracking: We do not track whether you open or dismiss notifications.

4. What We Do NOT Collect

Circuit Dots does not directly collect any personal information. Specifically:

• We do NOT require accounts, sign-ins, or registration.
• We do NOT collect names, email addresses, or phone numbers.
• We do NOT track your location, contacts, or browsing history.
• We do NOT use your camera, microphone, or file storage.
• We do NOT operate any analytics or crash reporting SDKs beyond what Google AdMob provides.

5. Permissions Used

The app requests the following device permissions:

• INTERNET & ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Required by Google AdMob to load and display advertisements.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Required to send optional local daily challenge reminders (user-controlled toggle).
• RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED: Allows scheduled notifications to persist after device restarts.
• VIBRATE: Used for haptic feedback during gameplay (user-controlled toggle).

6. Children's Privacy (COPPA & GDPR Compliance)

Circuit Dots is rated PEGI 3 / Everyone / All Ages by the International Age Rating Coalition (IARC), meaning its content is suitable for all ages. However, the app is designed for and targets a general audience — it is not specifically directed at children under 13.

We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (as defined by COPPA) or under 16 (as defined by GDPR). The app itself collects no personal data from any user. However, since the app displays advertisements powered by Google AdMob, third-party ad data collection (as described in Section 2) may occur.

For Parents and Guardians:

• We recommend parental supervision for younger players when ads are displayed.
• You can opt out of personalized ad tracking through your device's privacy settings (see Section 7).
• If you believe your child has inadvertently provided personal information, please contact us at the email below so we can take appropriate action.

7. Data Control & Deletion

You have full control over your locally stored data:

• In-App Reset: You can reset all saved level progress, stars, and streaks anytime from Settings → Reset all progress inside the app.
• Disable Notifications: You can turn off daily challenge reminders anytime from Settings → Daily puzzle reminders.
• Ad Personalization: You can opt out of personalized ads through your device settings (Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization on Android, or Settings → Privacy → Tracking on iOS).
• App Uninstallation: Uninstalling the application automatically deletes all associated local data from your device permanently.

8. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be posted directly on this page with an updated revision date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
